Brujnelova očekivanja od Endi Šleka
Johan Brujnel je potvrdio da je prvi razgovor o stvaranju novog RadioShack-Nissan-Trek super-tima bio održan dan nakon završetka Tur d’Fransa u Parizu. Menadžer belgijskog tima se sada suočava sa izazovom kako da uspešno iskombinuje dve ekipe i pomogne Endi Šleku da pobedi na Tur d'Fransu 2012. godine.
Tokom ovogodišnjeg Tur d'Fransa, Brujnel je potvrdio da će RadioShack i Nissan nastaviti sa sponzorisanjem naredne dve godine ali je otkrio da će biti ''budžetskih ograničenja''. U ponedeljak posle Tura, prisustvovao je prvoj diskusiji o ''prilici'' za preuzimanje Leopard Trek tima. Impuls je krenuo od John Burke iz Leoparda.
''On je spojio RadioShack, Nissan i Leopard. Leopard je imao tim, ali ne i sponzora. Mi nismo imali tim koji osvaja Tur, ali mi smo u okviru RadioShacka i Nissana ponudili dva strastvena biciklistička sponzora,'' rekao je Brujnel.
Brujnel se raduje osvajanju Tur d'Fransa sa Endi Šlekom, kog je posmatrao već duže vreme.
''On me je pridobio već 2005. godine kada je prvi put vozio trku oko Gruzije. Talenat kaplje sa njega. Ne možete da završite Tur kao drugoplasirani tri godine zaredom i kao drugi na Điru. Mislim da je vreme da zaista počne da veruje da može da osvoji Tur.''
Brujnel takođe zna ko će biti glavna konkurencija. ''Ako je Kontador u formi, zaista je žilav. Naposletku, Tur u suštini predstavlja borbu čoveka protiv čoveka. Znam Albertov nivo i potvrdio je da nije nepobediv.''
Menadžer belgijskog tima se raduje izazovima novog tima u 2012. godini. Zamalo se penzionisao kada je Lens Armstrong završio svoju karijeru ali izgleda da je povratio entuzijazam.
''To je izazov novog tima koji me angažuje. Trebaju mi veći izazovi.'' rekao je Brujnel. '' Poslednja dva Tura su bila noćna mora za mene, kao i 2006. godina, godina posle Lens Armstronga. Onda smo sledeće godine pobedili sa Kontadorom. Pokušaćemo to da ponovimo sa Endijem. Još uvek sam živ i mrdam.''

Johan Bruyneel has confirmed that the first talks regarding the creation of the new RadioShack-Nissan-Trek team super team were held the day after the Tour de France ended in Paris. Bruyneel is now looking forward to winning the Tour de France with Andy Schleck, who he has been watching for a long time.

The Belgian team manager is very much looking forward to the challenges of the new team in 2012. He almost retired when Lance Armstrong ended his career but seems to have rediscovered his enthusiasm.
“It is the challenge of the new team that engages me. I need greater challenges," he said. "The last Tour was a nightmare for me, as was 2006, the year after Lance Armstrong. Then the following year we won with Contador. We will try to repeat that with Andy. I'm still alive and kicking. "
