Interview Thomas Frei - Christina Watches

Took me just a few tweets to get in touch with extra polite Thomas Frey, former Astana and BMC rider from Switzerland.

Thomas is about to play big role in Christina Watches team. They will try to save Stefan Schumacher's yellow jersey.

Bringing to you our little chat before stage 3**. I'm at home, following #TourdeSerbie on twitter and @thomasfrei is out there on the rough Serbian roads.

Welcome to Serbia. Is these your first visit to Serbia?

Yes is the first time here. And its a really nice landscape i have to say. Its nice to race here.

Where do you come frome? Which canton (from 26 CH)?

Thomas Frei
Solothurn. Its almost in the middle of Switzerland.

Who is your training compatriot at home?

Thomas Frei
Mostly I train with other professionals. Michi Schär and Mathias Frank from BMC, Pirmin Lang - Atlas. And also some amateurs. But most of the training when I do specific workouts I train alone.

Are you satisfied with your current condition?

I think im on a good way, still miss the little extra in the Race, but im here to work on it.

I think these is your first race these year? Am I right?

Yes it is my first UCI Race and stage race.

Can Christina Watches team win the race? Is S.Schumacher second leader?

Thomas Frei
I think we have a strong team here. And we want to try and give our best to go for the Win!

**These is Frei's short update from stage 3 
Team rode perfect today. First real test for me as well. Alex was all day in the Break and came over the last Hill. Myself i attaked at the Botom of the 7 km climb with headwind. Baliani had to chase until he blow up. Then 1km befor the top Schumi and Michael past me with a few others. So work was done then. Schumi won. Leader jersey means a lot more work for next days. I know now my shape is good! Tomorow lot of  work in the hills!
